Vacancy Notice

Indian Institute of Skiing & Mountaineering (IISM) Gulmarg invites applications from the eligible candidates (Guest Instructors) to conduct Snow Skiing and Snowboarding courses at Gulmarg/Kargil for 2023-24. However, the selection of candidates will be subject to the following qualification, failing which their application will be not accepted.

Please note that the candidates who meet the eligibility criteria will be called for an interview.

• Post :- Snow Skiing & Snow Boarding Instructors
• Qualification : Minimum 10+2 (Probably Graduate in any stream)
• Experience : Snow Skiing courses from Government recognised Institute, Basic, Intermediate and Advance level. For Snowboarding participation in National or International events.
• Language : Command over Hindi and English.
• Age : 21-45, exemption for retired instructors from Government Recognised institute.
• Other : First aid knowledge and handling wireless devices.

IISM Gulmarg reserves the right to reject any proposal at any stage of the process prior to the signing of the contract or before appointing as temporary instructors.

Terms and Conditions :-

1. Before signing the contract or appointing any guest instructor, IISM Gulmarg retains the authority to decline any proposal at any point during the process.

2. The chosen candidate will be required to present a Medical Fitness Certificate issued by an authorized medical practitioner.

3. There should be no police record/criminal case pending against the selected candidate.

4. IISM Gulmarg has the authority to remove candidates who are deemed unsuitable by the office for any reason.

5. Candidates who are selected will not be eligible for any benefits like compensation, absorption or regularization.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE PANEL OF INSTRUCTORS REQUIRED BY IISM GULMARG.

SKI INSTRUCTORS

• Education qualification:- Preferably graduate, minimum (10+2) with working knowledge of computer application.
• Courses qualified: -Should be qualified in basic, intermediate, advance ski/ snowboarding courses from a recognized govt institute with A Grade. Preference will be given to the person having prior teaching experience in ski training and won national ski championship.
• Language: -Should have good speaking and writing command over English. Must be able to speak & understand Hindi.
• Age bar: -21 to 45 years of age. Age exemption can be considered for retired instructors from class I institutions.
• MISC : Should be able to handle the wireless communication. Should have sufficient knowledge for providing first aid in case of emergency.

WATER SKIING

• Education qualification: - Preferably graduate, minimum (10+2) with working knowledge of computer application.
• Courses qualified: - Should be qualified in water skiing course with A Grade, must be a good swimmer & should have prior experience of teaching water sports.
• Language: -Should have good speaking and writing command over English. Must be able to speak & understand Hindi.
• Age bar: -21 to 45 years of age. Age exemption can be given to retired instructors from class I institutions.
• MISC : Should be able to handle the wireless communication. Should have sufficient knowledge for providing first aid in case of emergency.

MOUNTAINEERING AND TREKKING

• Education qualification: - Preferably graduate, minimum (10+2) with working knowledge of computer application.
• Courses qualified: - Should be qualified in basic &advance mountaineering courses from a recognized national institute. Preference will be given to instructors having prior teaching experience& qualified in M.O.I courses.
• Language: -Should have good speaking and writing command over English. Must be able to speak & understand Hindi.
• Age bar: -21 to 45 years of age. Age exemption can be given to retired instructors from (class I) institutions.
• MISC : Should be able to handle the wireless communication and should have sufficient knowledge for providing first aid in case of emergency.

HOT AIR BALLONING/PARASAILING

• Education qualification: - Preferably graduate, minimum (10+2) with working knowledge of computer application.
• Courses qualified: -should be qualified in subject aero sport courses from a recognized institute. Should have prior hot air ballooning/para sailing teaching experience. Should have Knowledge of Space management in aero sports.
• Language: -Should have good speaking and writing command over English. Must be able to speak & understand Hindi.
• Age bar: -21 to 45 years of age. Age exemption can be given to retired instructors from class I institutions.
• MISC : Should be able to handle the wireless communication and should have sufficient knowledge for providing first aid in case of emergency.
